AppClick ICT Academy has unveiled its 2026 Scholarship Programme, opening an opportunity for Nigerians to earn up to 100 per cent scholarship to acquire in-demand technology skills, alongside an opportunity to win a brand-new laptop.

The initiative is part of AppClick’s broader commitment to making quality technology education more accessible and equipping more Africans with practical skills for careers, entrepreneurship and opportunities in the global digital economy.

Speaking with journalists, Founder and CEO of AppClick, Seyi Adeleke, said the initiative was inspired by a simple reality: talent is everywhere, but access to opportunity is not.

“Across Nigeria, there are brilliant and ambitious people who want to build careers in technology, but for many, the cost of quality training can become a major barrier,” Adeleke said. “We believe potential should not be wasted simply because someone could not afford the opportunity to develop it. This scholarship is our way of opening that door to more people.”

The scholarship is open to applicants from all backgrounds, including complete beginners, and no prior technology skills or experience are required to apply. Whether you are a student, graduate, working professional, entrepreneur, or someone looking to make a career switch into tech, the programme is designed to give more people an opportunity to get started.

Up to 100% Scholarship for In-Demand Tech Skills Through the programme, applicants will have the opportunity to earn up to 100% scholarship covering tuition, certification, examinations and practical projects across selected programmes at AppClick ICT Academy.

The scholarship covers several high-demand technology fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering (Frontend & Backend), Cybersecurity, Data Science, Data Analytics, DevOps Engineering, Mobile App Engineering, UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, AI Automation, Virtual Assistant, Python Programming, Java Programming, Generative AI, Web Design, Digital Literacy, and more.

According to Adeleke, developing talent in these areas has become increasingly important as artificial intelligence and digital technologies continue to transform businesses, industries and the global workforce.
“The future is already being built with technology. Our responsibility is to ensure that more Africans are equipped not just to consume technology, but to build with it, innovate with it and create economic value from it,” he said.

From Ibadan to a Growing International Technology Footprint

The scholarship builds on AppClick’s growing track record in technology education and innovation.
With its Corporate Headquarters in Ibadan, Oyo State, and the organisation registered in Nigeria, the United States and the United Kingdom, AppClick has continued to expand its technology ecosystem while maintaining a strong focus on developing African digital talent.

AppClick ICT Academy is accredited by the American Council of Training and Development (ACTD) and Skill Development Council Canada (SDCC), and is also recognized as an approved trusted partner of Figma. The academy’s certifications are globally recognized, strengthening the professional credibility of its graduates and positioning them for career growth and international opportunities.

Through AppClick ICT Academy, thousands of students have been trained across different technology disciplines, with an emphasis on practical learning, real-world projects and career development.
Over the years, the academy has also expanded its programmes, facilities and strategic partnerships as it works to create opportunities for students and graduates beyond the classroom.

For Adeleke, those experiences have reinforced one conviction: Africa does not have a shortage of talent — it needs more pathways for that talent to thrive.

“We have watched people come in as complete beginners and gradually develop the confidence and skills to build projects, pursue professional opportunities and create solutions that add value in Nigeria and beyond,” he said. “Those transformations are what motivate us to keep creating more opportunities.”

Creating More African Tech Success Stories

Beyond the opportunity to earn up to 100% scholarship, participants in the 2026 initiative will also have an opportunity to win a brand-new laptop.

But Adeleke said the bigger vision goes far beyond the scholarship itself.

“We have trained thousands of people, but there are millions more across Africa with the potential to do extraordinary things if they are given access to the right skills and opportunities.” “We want to create more software engineers, AI professionals, cybersecurity experts, data professionals, designers, entrepreneurs and innovators who can compete and create value anywhere in the world.”
He added:
“For someone out there, this scholarship could be the opportunity that starts an entirely new chapter. We want to help create that story.” Applications for the AppClick ICT Academy Scholarship Programme 2026 are currently open, with only 300 scholarship slots available.
